Introduction

In this assignment I am going to focus on photographer called Wendy McMurdo. I will look at her work and analyze it in terms of technical and ideological aspects. Beside this, I will produce a series of  emultion images to show my own interpretation of Wendy McMurdo's work.

Wendy McMurdo (born 1962 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a British artist who specializes in photography and digital media. She attended Edinburgh College of Art, Goldsmiths, University of London and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where she first became interested in photography. Her work centers around the relationship between technology and identity and she has produced several influential bodies of work which explore this theme.

Wendy McMurdo works with traditional photography and computer technology to produce pictures of children who seem slightly 'out of this world'. Her images exist somewhere between fact and fiction.
